Now that Prime Day 2.0 Is Over, Let's Prepare For The Season Ahead.....

Prime Day 2.0, wow, what a sale that has been, so many reductions on such an inventory of products! I hope you were all able to pick up what you wanted without any fuss. As some products are still discounted, please make sure to check the links to any products you may have had your eye on as there may still be a discount on them, even if you are not a Prime Member. The products I had included on my home page have now been put into the relevant pages in the affiliate links section.

So as the holiday season is just a few months away, here is a snapshot of one particular kitchen appliance that can help make your holiday preparation a little less stressful this year and hopefully save you a little money along the way.

We’ve all seen the amount of air fryers on sale during the 2-day sale, but are they really worth the money?

As a proud owner of an air fryer, I can absolutely 100% say yes, they are worth every penny. Why you ask? Because I don’t have to put my oven on unless it is actually needed, thus saving my family money. How many times have you put the oven on for a single garlic baguette, or 2 Naan breads, or worse still to melt the Christmas Camembert, that single tiny little bowl of cheese in that huge oven all by itself, it’s criminal! Well trust me when I say an air fryer is the best solution. They are so incredibly cheap to run, they sit there on your countertop when in use, can be put away in the cupboard when not in use, and take up no space at all. They come in a range of sizes and shapes and, you don’t need to use oil to roast anything in them as the hot air being circulated by fans will roast and fry for you. It’s brilliant!

What does this have to do with Christmas preparation?

Dare I say, these air fryers are the perfect kitchen buddy when preparing the Christmas dinner or a large Sunday roast for the family! We’ve all been there and it’s always the same story in my house; turkey has just come out and now it’s a race against time to get everything into the oven before that big bird goes cold but after the mammoth tray of potatoes, the tray of carrots and parsnips, and the tray of Pigs in Blankets, you realise you’ve run out of room in the oven for the stuffing, for the vegetarian option for the veggies at the table, and Aunt Bessie’s Finest Yorkshire puddings because Christmas dinner isn’t Christmas dinner without a ton of Yorkshire puddings, hence why that air fryer has become the little sous chef!

So if your household is anything like mine, why not try the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer with 2 drawers to separate food out to cook. It’s available in both 7.6 litre and 9.5 litre. You could also try the HYSapientia 15L Large Air Fryers Oven With Rotisserie and viewing window. This air fryer is large enough to cook an entire very large rotisserie chicken and more! Or the HYSapientia 24L Air Fryer Oven With Rotisserie Large XXL with viewing window and 2 pull out trays. There are also smaller air fryers available that work brilliantly and make cooking an evening meal a doddle, why not try the Philips Airfryer 3000 Series XL, 5.6 L, See-through window, 14-in-1 Cooking Functions there is also a version of this available with a WIFI connection that doesn’t have a viewing window but this model is fantastic for an individual or a couple.

If you do opt to get an air fryer, don’t forget about the liners for the trays. There are 2 versions of the liners available, silicone which you can just use, then wash, then reuse etc. Or there are disposable liners. There are advantages and disadvantages to both depending on how often you are likely to use the appliance and what storage you have available. Disposable liners usually come in packs of 50 and 100 but these need to be stored somewhere when not in use. These are generally made from the same non-stick food grade material as parchment baking paper. Reusable silicone liners can pretty much live in the air fryer when not in use or be placed inside each other if you have more than one. The silicone is flexible and malleable so the silicone can easily be folded to fit in a drawer, but the downside is they can be a little pricy compared to their disposable competitor, particularly if you need to purchase several for a large air fryer with multiple drawers. Here is the link to the Silicone Air Fryer Liners for Ninja Air Fryer Dual as well as the link to a pack of 100 disposable Ninja Air Fryer Liners for Ninja Air Fryer Dual.

Could an air fryer really save me money?

Air fryers are designed to reduce the average families’ energy bills and are considered by experts to be a great investment, investigations into their effectiveness by eco experts have suggested there could be a saving to households of over £250 per year when air fryers are used correctly. With household energy bills on the rise, this could be a considerable saving for many families.
